Lapland is a region in northern Europe that belongs to Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. The region has a mild weather in summer and a wonderful snowland in winter. The coldest winter temperatures start around December and last until March; however, there is snow in the region from November to May. Lapland has high mountains, hills, open plateaus, forests, rivers and waterfalls.

With its climate and terrain, Lapland is considered as one of the best places for winter activities such as skiing. People who have a passion for skiing will surely have a good time in this region.

If you are planning to spend your holiday in Lapland, you could enjoy some excellent skiing in Hemavan. Both beginners and experts can ski on uncrowded slopes in this area until the end of April. Accommodation is not a problem since the family-run hotel Trolltunet is just 80 meters from the foot of the slopes and a short 5 minute transfer from the airport.

You could also visit the Lapland ski resort Yllas. Yllas is one of the most extensive ski areas for both alpine and cross-country skiing. Yllas, like Hemavan, offers excellent skiing for beginners and intermediates. The ski resort also has great facilities for families and ski instructors for the novice.
